If you are a New Zealand citizen living overseas it may be possible to borrow up to 80% of the value of a property if you intend to live in it, or 60% if it is to be an investment property. The same applies if you are an Australian or Singapore citizen.

If you do not have New Zealand residency it is not possible to purchase residential property.
