The options for non residents or overseas investors vary considerably between banks and lenders.
If you are a New Zealand citizen living overseas it may be possible to borrow up to 80% of the value of a property. You will need a minimum of 20% deposit yourself.
If you are an overseas citizen looking to invest in a NZ residential property the maximum amount you can borrow is up to 80% of the value of a property. You would require 20% deposit.
In all cases this would depend on the type of property you are looking at and the area the property is in.
